NO VOLVERAN (“They shall not return”): The Venezuelan Revolution Now
The Latin American Canadian Solidarity Association (Lacasa) in collaboration with the Hyland Cinema and Hands Off Venezuela (HOV) is pleased to invite you to the London Premiere of “No Volverán”, a documentary about the radical social, political and economic changes taking place in Venezuela today.
The film will be showing at the Hyland Cinema, 240 Wharncliffe South, on Monday, December 3, at 9 p.m.
“No Volverán” was filmed last year during the election campaign that returned President Hugo Chavez to power with an overwhelming majority. “The film-makers take us on a journey through the fervour of the presidential elections in December 2006, traveling deep into the shantytowns (barrios) and to several factories under workers’ control, to find out why there is a movement to transcend capitalism, what socialism of the 21st Century is and how it’s changing people’s lives.”
There will be a discussion after the film with members of HOV.
